The all-new BATA 2Pitch3 Baseball Pitching Machine is BATA's most versatile machine. Really, you're getting two high-performance pitching machines all in one set-up! One machine throws 95 MPH fastballs, and the other throws 75 MPH right-handed curve balls. This is simply the best pitching machine on the market for simulating real-game conditions. It can also be tilted up or down to throw high pop flies and red-hot grounders.
The 2Pitch3 has a total of 3 soft-tread pitching wheels: two are used to throw the blazing 95 MPH fastballs, and one is used (along with a compression pad that simulates a fourth wheel spinning at zero speed) to throw wicked curve balls. (Note: BATA's innovative one-wheel design actually throws better curve balls with more spin than two-wheel machines throw.) The 2Pitch3 has two separate variable speed controls: one to control the speed of the fastball, and one to control the speed of the curveball. Similarly, the height adjustment and inside-outside adjustment for the fastball and curveball are independent of each other.
There are 3 ways to feed balls into the machine:
- Completely manually - the pitch type (fastball or curveball) is determined by which infeed chute the operator places the ball into
- Using the BATA Toggle Manual Pitch Selector - the operator manually places two balls into the Toggle Manual Pitch Selector device, and both balls roll down the infeed chutes (one to each machine), but only one ball is thrown - this makes it impossible for the batter to predict the pitch, but it allows ample time for him or her to adjust and hit the ball
- Using an auto ball feeder AND the BATA Pitch Selector together - the motorized Pitch Selector connects to the auto-feeder and randomly diverts the ball to one infeed chute or the other
