Description
Mix it up! Keep it real! The newly improved BATA 2Pitch Sidewinder Baseball Pitching Machine does just that by MIXING pitches without adjusting the machine. Though a lot of pitching machines are capable of throwing multiple types of pitches, they throw the same pitch over and over until they are manually adjusted. (Unless you've got either a really nice or really unskilled pitcher at the mound, that's not going to happen in a real game.) The BATA 2Pitch Sidewinder actually has 2 independently functioning pitching wheels on a single stand... so it's like having 2 separate pitching machines, each throwing a different type of pitch. (This is more like what you'll face in a real game.)
The BATA 2Pitch Sidewinder has recently been updated to throw more pitch combinations:
- Right-handed straight fastball - 3/4 curve
- Right-handed straight fastball - 3/4 slider
- Right-handed tailing fastball - side-arm curve
- Right-handed tailing fastball - side-arm slider
- Left-handed straight fastball - 3/4 curve
- Left-handed straight fastball - 3/4 slider
- Left-handed tailing fastball - side-arm curve
- Left-handed tailing fastball - side-arm slider
Each pitching wheel basically has the same capabilities as the one-wheel BETA B-1 Curveball machine. Each wheel pitches balls at blazing speeds up to 70 MPH with pinpoint accuracy and consistency. (From 46 feet, that seems like 91 MPH!) The ultra-fast-spinning wheels work independently with their own compression pads that simulate a second wheel spinning at zero speed. The result is that a single wheel can throw a wicked-fast curveball or slider with an insane amount of spin! The other wheel, of course, throws a killer fastball instead.
When used without an automatic ball feeder, the pitch type is determined by which infeed chute the operator places the ball into. The 2Pitch Sidewinder can be used with an auto-feeder (sold separately), but you must also purchase the BATA Pitch Selector (also sold separately) to use in conjunction with the ball feeder. The Pitch Selector connects to the auto-feeder and randomly diverts the ball to one infeed chute or the other.
The BATA 2Pitch Sidewinder can throw either real leather baseballs or dimpled pitching machine baseballs (it cannot throw softballs). Constructed with BATA's high-quality solid-state control box components, two Goodyear Rubber Soft Tread pitching wheels, and heavy-duty solid steel welded stand and frame, the BATA 2Pitch Sidewinder is built to last for years. In fact, it's backed by an incredible 5-year limited warranty.
Get the same pitching machine used by the San Diego Padres, Arizona Diamondbacks, Toronto Blue Jays, Chicago White Sox, Anaheim Angels, Oakland A's, LA Dodgers, and Seattle Mariners!
